I performed this show in August 2012 at the Pleasance One Theatre during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The show is about trying to keep going when you are tired out politically & personally.
I was nominated for the third year in the row for the Edinburgh Comedy Award, but I was beaten by an angry clown, and that is more than fair enough.
I toured the show in Autumn 2012 across the UK with the very talented folk singer Grace Petrie supporting me. I then took it to the Melbourne, Sydney, New Zealand and Perth Comedy festivals. In Perth I won a best of the fest award. In Sydney i did a lot of swimming in the sea. In Melbourne i did a gig on a tram.
I recorded the show in December 2012 at the Battersea Arts Centre, and released it on youtube for free – so you can watch it here;
Romance & Adventure went on to inspire my BBC Radio series of the same name – which you can listen to here – and this short film I made with my friend Douglas King, which also shares it’s name.
You can watch it here;
