The Edinburgh Fringe is back, sort of, and so is Josie. She’ll be doing 10 shows at the Monkey Barrel, Edinburgh, throughout August 2021 – here’s the info;
Oh, you like Josie Long? Political and personal in one sentence, angry but tender, did a brilliant and much-lauded Fringe show when we last had civilization. Yeah – that’s the one. Well, she’s back in Edinburgh to try new stuff. It will be silly, experimental, a bit all over the place, relaxed, in an under-the-radar way which will make you feel special to be there.
4th to 6th August and 23rd to 29th, 20:30 (1 hour) – MB3
£8 per person – Weekday / £9 per person – Weekend. Tickets priced for 1, 2 and 4 people.

Sadly, the Melbourne Comedy Festival has been cancelled as a result of the ongoing Coronavirus situation.
This means that Josie’s show will no longer be going ahead in Melbourne.
The Full statement from the Festival is as follows;
With great sadness we must announce that following the Prime Minister’s statement about non-essential mass gatherings, the 2020 Melbourne International Comedy Festival will not go ahead.
The success of our Festival is in the way that comedy transforms our city for the inspiration and entertainment of hundreds of thousands of comedy lovers.
Our primary concern is the health and welfare of our artists and participants, staff and audiences. Cancelling the Festival is heartbreaking but the only decision possible to support the community’s efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Ticketholders will be notified shortly regarding refunds.
We’re devastated by the news, thank everyone for their understanding and support and look forward to sharing a laugh with you again soon.

Three-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and very-hard-to-pin-down-indie-underdog-nightmare Josie Long is back with a brand new show after a brief hiatus, during which she had a baby and so on.
It’s about the mind-bending intensity of new motherhood, but mostly about kindness, gentleness, and joy – all in all, the edgiest thing you will see this year. The aim is for you to come out of it feeling optimistic about the future, although that is a big ask.
